Chrysler SEABRING-JXI 1998

Asked by Feb 22, 2017 at 12:39 AM about the 1998 Chrysler Sebring 2 Dr JXi Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hit my partially lower garage door while backing
out n convertible that now has an 8" cut in the
top between ribs. A new roof was put on the car
4 years ago. Should I replace again or have the
rip repaired and about how much is the cost for
a repair?

That is your choice. A new top might be more than the car is worth.

Check with an upholstery shop, with materials that are 4 years old you maybe stuck with replacing the entire top, but if they can just replace the damaged panel it might be a little bit cheaper. As far as price, sorry I would not know, the last top I had installed was well over a grand.
