We had the same issue. Replaced battery and check engine light stayed on. Verified connections were all correct and secure. After approximately an hour we tried to start it again. It started. Check engine light was no longer illuminated and it seems to be running fine. It appears it takes a certain amount of time for the systems to all reset so it can function.

Just for curiosity.....some cars need to be programmed to change battery ( kind of stupid ). Check with mechanic if You have to do that

My 2015 SRX would not start after I installed a new battery. Then I noticed a message to roll down the driver's window and then another message to roll down the passenger side window. Then the car started and all appears to be OK.

My 2012 SRX would not start after I installed a new battery. Then I noticed a message to roll down the driver's window and then another message to roll down the passenger side window. The car still refused to start and could not detect any of the two remotes that had new cell batteries in them. HELP!

I got my car to start by tightening the first larger nut in the 3 nut series located closest to the interior of the car...if that makes sense. (just dbl check all nuts are tightened) Once it was tightened, I just had to wait a few minutes and everything was a go...I got the window message but ignored it... I initially got several messages to service this and that part of my car but those messages went away after subsequent starts... It was hard to believe just one little nut could cause most of the car to not work and such panic for me...
