This guy is a genuine expert on motor oil, I highly recommend reading this page, and you can go to the other "chapters" http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/motor-oil-103/ .....Personally I choose synthetic for my 2006 Corolla and use conventional in my old beater F250.

I have the 5,9 magnum and tried both half synthetic and full and I have returned back to regular. Both half and full synthetic are thinner and i started go get oil leak witch did not stop even though I changed out the seals that where leaking so I changed back to regular and now I have no leaking. my engine was made for regular and it clearly fits that one better. There no changes in hoe the engine worked and no change in MPG either so I don´t need the synthetic stuff. My truck is know at 104.000 miles and running strong.

synthetic helps ,less wear on starts, doest break down as easy as regular oil, i use and recommend it
