Car won't start

I have a Toyota solara, driving at about 60 miles on
the highway the car jerked and went off,  the
engine is not turning again,  has the engine
knocked? No smells from the oil!

Simplest things first. Check the battery and it's connections. If the engine still doesn't turn I would try to manually turn the engine to make sure it's not seized. If it turns you narrowed the problem down to a starter failure or an ignition/wiring failure. GL
