1999 chrysler Sebring JXI Convertible-6 cyl. . It wants to, run then not.

The Sebring will run okay until it gets close to a 1/4 tank of gas. ( 3/8's ). Or sometimes 10-15 miles running. Then it will run with high RPM's and only 10-15 mph. After I let it sit for 30-40 min's. it will run fine and start all over again. Now I have parked it and when I go to crank it, it is hard to keep running. The fuel tank has been cleaned and fuel filter changed. Any help?

So it happens when the tank is low. The could be a vacuum or pressure issue. Check your gas cap seal. --- It also happens after 15 miles running. That part could be caused by heat effecting a sensor or coil. Perhaps getting the codes read would reveal a pending trouble code and a clue as to what part is failing.
