Oil light comes on 1999 Chrysler lhs has
162,000 miles replaced oil pressure switch

The engine might be worn out but it could be the oil pump. Check you oil level and make sure you are using the correct grade of oil as specified in your owners manual.

The engine might be worn out but it could be the oil pump. Check your oil level and make sure you are using the correct grade of oil as specified in your owners manual. You could add some Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to see if it helps.
