miss firing issue

Asked by Jon0311 Jun 24, 2017 at 11:44 AM about the 1999 Chrysler 300M FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 1999 Chrysler 300m i get codes p0172 (running rich) and code
p0301 (cylender 1 missfire). I've had p0300 (multiple cylinders random miss
fire) P0303 and 305 which all have gone after changing ignition coil, boots
and plugs. i guess before i go and spend yet another 43+ dollars on another
ignition coil can that fix the code p0172 code or should i try and figure out
what else can be causing p0172? i do smell it running rich and occasionally it
doesn't seem to miss fire until i get excited about it. LOL
