Service Engine Soon Light Flashes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The last few days, when I am on the highway, steady at 65-70 mph, the check engine light will flash 2 or 3 times, then go out. It came on and flashed again about 20 seconds later, then went out, and did not come on again. This happened 2 days in a row. The car drove fine, with no noticeable changes.  Any ideas as to why this would happen? Will a code show up if we plug in a scan tool (as a past code)?

I would check for codes, probably nothing major though.
