2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7

Ok so I started my Jeep and let it run for
about 20 minutes all of a sudden I heard a
bang and moments later thick white smoke
from under the hood so i shut it off and I
popped the hood and there is brown fluid all
over everything under the hood!  Anyone
know what may have happened? If so how
can I be sure of the issue?  It was not
overheating!
