06 Jeep keeps over heating only on the highway?
Just put a water pump and thermostat ,new
radiator and head gasket had the heads done and
checked the Jeep still over heating only on the
Have you done a compression test on each cylinder?
Yeah they are about 157 to 164
how was the flow through the rad once you replaced the items listed. Did you let it run long enough for the new t-stat to open and get good flow and air locks out of the system. I'm assuming you installed a 195deg t-stat. What temps are you seeing on the highway?
Yeah it's a 195 the Flo is good. the upper hose is boiling hot and lower is cold and if you take off the lower hose and put a bucket under it full of coolant it will suck up coolant.i have flushed it and vacuum filled the system i am lost everything works if you stay off the highway.soon as you get above 2200 rpm it will climb Temp
So the flo through the new rad was good, t-stat opened, coolant circulating prior to capping the system, Running pre- mix coolant or 50/50 mix all good. Before we consider bringing the bottom end into the discussion, How many klm's have been drivin since the new parts/ heads installed. When you say running hot above 2200RPM, what temperature was/is it hitting ? Do you have a working temp gauge ?
Yes with a scanner on watching the gauge.even with a didgtal thermometer . about 40 miles have been put on.
