My transmission is making noise but not all the time it shifts hard into 1& 2 gear. Will Lucas treatment help?

No, do you see how fast I answered your question. I don't believe in additives, and think you're wasting your money. If your car's transmission is failing, the only solution is to have it rebuilt, period.

Also, if you doubt that your car has problems, take a look at this, http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t25368_ds502979

ahh the old fix in the can trick, yeah mark is right that stuff never does what it says, best thing to do is have it taken to a trans shop have them drop the pan and take a look if there is excessive metal in the pan, it is time for new trans but if it is relatively clean a new filter is always good especially if it hasn't been replaced in 50k plus miles, as far as a harsh shift...a common problem with that trans was a pressure control solenoid going bad, it will set a p1811 code most times and the part is about $72 dollars plus fluid and side cover gasket figure about 4.5 hrs to replace it
