2001 Chryler sebring lxi coupe radio issues

radio power on no sound,volume button turns but has no stop point. All fuses and
connections seem to be fine

It turned out to be the amplifier which is located under the passenger side front seat I replaced it with the same infinity stereo amp which I purchased from salvage and it is working great now Prior to trying that I tried connecting a new radio and it was not getting any sound either
