Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got a 2002 Chrysler 300M, and the power steering has stopped working.  I'm being
told it's likely to be the rack and pinion leaking and in need of replacement.  How badly is
that going to set back my wallet?

If that's what it is, according to http://repairpal.com/estimator/results somewhere between $1k and $1.5k. Ouch.
