Heat gauge and a/c quite at the same time.take battery cable off and it works for a few starts then it quites again

Possibly a error in the programming of the HVAC processor or the BCM. However if you keep disconnecting main power to force a reset you will damage the factory presets in the body control computer and then your stuck with having the dealer do a reflash or even a possible replacement of the BCM. So have a shop check the system out before you do some real expensive damage.
