Truck ran out of gas and now won't start

Asked by John Feb 26, 2018 at 05:26 AM about the 2005 Ford Ranger 2 Dr Edge Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 05 ford ranger with a mustang engine and
kenne bell Super charger. Ran out of gas and won't
turn over.  I Have checked fuel reset switch, fuel
pump, fuel pressure, is all good. I sprayed
carburetor fluid in the intake in the truck started up
but only for a few seconds. Got desperate and kept
spraying to keep it running for a while. But still no
fix. For whatever reason it's not getting fuel to the
engine I really need help if anyone has any
suggestions.

Check to see if the fuel injectors are pulsing. If you have fuel pressure and the injectors aren't operating it will never run.
