The clock will be the same time when you last drove it even though your battery is dead

If it's completely dead, you'll have to reset radio presets and clock.

Odds are the clock kept running until the battery was completely worn down, not when you shut it off. The auto battery could have kept the clock running for several hours after being shut off.
