Check engine light comes on 2004 Honda Pilot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A repair shop said that it's possible air leak in the fuel recovery system. The code is
P1456. the unit runs great. Am I hurting by running with light on?

check to see if the gas cap is on tight then have the engine light reset

I had the same issue and had to replace the gas cap.

You need to replace the cap, but first take Vaseline and rub on the rubber seal on the cap. Where it connects to the fuel fill nozzle. This is the cheap fix and will solve most air leaks. Also make sure once you do this to turn cap until you hear three clicks.
