high pitch squeal and wants to die

My girlfriend has an 03 Chrysler 300. The other day
we were driving and the V-belt broke. It got
replaced and we the heat gets turned now the car
wants to die and make a high pitch noise again.
What might be the problem?

Might be air condition compressor seizing up.Air compressor works with the defrost.Best thing, is to take belt back off and check all the pullies.They need to spin free.
