I'm having trouble pumping fuel in my 2002 Mustang

Asked by Kathy Aug 21, 2014 at 10:10 AM about the 2002 Ford Mustang Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While trying to pump gas, I get back flow unless I pump SLOW, I've tried every placement
of the nozzle with no avail?  Any suggestions.  This is a used car that I purchased about a
month ago.

The vent from the gas tank is plugged up. You may be able to remove the fuel filler neck and clean it out. I did that on my F350.
