Can someone please help me!

I just traded for a 2001 mustang Gt. It was suppose to have a S-281 engine in it out of a wrecked 2002 Saleen. It was said that a stock Gt manifold was used because he had sold the Saleen intake. He showed me a 281 casting in the front , top of the block. Do all 4.6 have this casting?How can I identify this engine to make sure it is a Saleen short block in it?

You'd have to measure that yourself....but, you know about car-part.com? will show you all the salvaged parts available out there....perhaps they make the difference in specification...that you can find...if not one of these friendly salvagers will talk to you in person~
