is it possible to take a v8 5.,0 out of a 1996 ford explorer and put it in a 2000 explorer that had a v6

The only info I can find is 1999-2001, but may work I would get all accessories and computer and possibly the trans too as your computer may not run either or just one or the other, but check around for some more info.
