2005 Ford Escape Hybrid killing 12v battery while not in use. Why?

Asked by Tammy_Beth Feb 23, 2018 at 09:35 PM about the 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Have a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid. I never had any problem with it when driving it regularly but having bought a different vehicle this one is used infrequently as i try to sell it. Unfortunately, it has developed the habit of draining the 12v (under hood) battery quickly (in just a matter of a day or two) when not in use. What could be causing this?

do a search for "parasitic drain" , if we have to explain it to you you're probably not able to do it
