Car bucking losing power steering

Asked by WardT_246 Mar 25, 2017 at 07:36 AM about the 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Altima 2.5. I'll go to pull away from a
light and all of a sudden have no acceleration and
the car starts bucking. It also loses the power
steering when this happens. I'll pull over turn the
car off let it sit for 2 minutes. After I start it back up
the car runs fine. Service engine light never comes
on when it does this either.

When my 2008 was bucking and no power, I limped home with it. It was a faulty ignition coil. Be careful how far you go with it bucking. It cracked my engine mount from the bucking.
