165,345 -- here's you access to an on line manual. Check out page 2-13 for the chimes proper operation. Hope this helps.

This does describe the proper operation, but does not explain how to turn the chimes back on if they are off.

We've had many people come in about that on various of our nissans and have come to the conclusion that they do not make any audible chimes just the lights in the dash.

If I'm quite enough I can hear three low audio chime beeps. Definitely not loud enough to be considered an alert/warning. I wish someone would come up with a modification to make it loud enough. Does anyone know an address or email for someone to contact at Nissan?
