Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently I purchased  a 2004 Chrysler Concord
3.5L ...initially there were no problems, and then
out of the blue, I go to start the car and get a single
click, dash lights come on, windows don't
work...after a while it can be jumped and will start
and restart for a short while after, but eventually it's
single click, no start...I have already had both the
battery and starter replaced with the same results.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Check battery voltage, it should be minimum 12.4. Check the battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. If cables are ok, check voltage signal at the starter solenoid as you try to start it.

The battery is brand new. 4 days old sooo I'm sure that's okay...I have been told that the battery connections may be loose and need to be tightened, starter is 1 week old...just replaced...the solenoid may need the be checked/replaced as well?
