Bouncing throttle and not going anywhere

Asked by Garrett5oh Sep 16, 2015 at 11:05 AM about the 2012 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: General

Ok so i was driving my '12 stock mustang 5.0. I took off and shifted at
about 5500 rpm and as i let the clutch out after shifting to second gear the
entire car started to bounce up and down like the engine was severely
struggling to just even go. as i pressed the gas i was going no where. i
pushed the clutch back in and shifted up to third and everything was fine. is
this s gear problem or what elese could it be??

Problem is likely that your heavy foot confused the TPS. TPS may not be designed/calibrated for 5500RPM. Shifting up sooner is all you need to do.
