heat on one side only on a 2005 chrysler sebring limited.

Asked by migration_foxsay Nov 02, 2013 at 09:38 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Sebring Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Chrysler sebring with a 3.0 liter. It only puts heat out of the
passenger side. The driver side is cold as ac. the fan works great. keep in mind, i
have thought it was an actuator motor for the blend doors but both the temperature
control and direction control switch are cable run instead of electronic. I don't think
it could be a heater core because it pumps out pretty good warm air on the right
side. any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.

okay they are electrical...perhaps one is burnt...perhaps you are suffering from an undervoltage condition because the battery is old and the main connection 1/0 cable to the chassis is corroded from 300 amp service and needs a coarse wirebrushing to restore proper ground...no longer a "semi- conductor" with corrosion...will bring stuff around to normal....I know~ http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/DC/1541-05266618.html? utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_content=DN&utm_campaign= PartsGeek+Google+Base&utm_term=2001- 2006+Chrysler+Sebring+Air+Flap+Actuator+Dorman+01- 06+Chrysler+Air+Flap+Actuator+2003+2005&gclid=CMDc0ePsx7oCFSd p7AodbQQAMg

Look at the fuse to see that it is NOT burnt, we are suffering from an undervoltage condition....perhaps it IS a corroded MAIN ground...perhaps the battery terminals need to be cleaned....perhaps if the battery is older than five...it's time to replace that one~
