Tires for my sonata hybrid. Do I need anything special or just the correct size?

Asked by GuruS1TXS Jun 02, 2019 at 12:59 PM about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The tires suggested by my dealer are not on the CR list at all. They have a
recommendation, but does it need to be specific to a hybrid?

You do not have to use "hybrid" tires but it helps the fuel economy. Manufacturers install low rolling resistance tires for fuel economy but they will have trade offs in traction so pick what works for your driving conditions,
