2011 Dodge grand caravan battery light coming on after replacing the battery and alternator.
I have a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. The battery
light came on then the entire system shut down.
Unable to jump start it. Took the warranted battery
in for replacement. It ran for a few minutes then
died again. I replaced the alternator along with
another new warranted battery. After a few
minutes of driving it the battery light came on
again but continued running fine. What can be the
Can't say for sure but things should be tested so you know exactly what's going on , you need a multi tester to check these things if you're going to do your own repairs there's tools you will need .
From your question, I'd say that you're not a mechanic. There are several possible causes for your problem: Bad alternator replaced with a defective alternator. Cable/connection problems. Defective wiring. Slipping belt. Voltage being misread..... Like beatupchevy, I'd advise you to use a multi-meter, but then you'd have to know how to use it and know what voltages are proper..... A trip to a car parts store to get codes read probably won't help you, so get the car to a reputable mechanic. For a mechanic, this isn't difficult to diagnose & fix. Meanwhile, look at all the time and expense you've gone through chasing a problem that you don't have the knowledge to solve.
Battery & alternator replaced now..but today my vehicle died on the road again!
