Car won't star

Asked by Mark Jul 23, 2016 at 06:45 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have issues getting car to start. New
battery; new starter; new ignition switch;
new cam sensor. Car started, went to gym,
when I came back out; nothing. Dash and
everything else worked; acted like a kill
switch. What else could be the problem?
Tired of dumping money in this car when
its value has depreciated drastically. Could
this be a computer problem?

Try putting vehicle in nuteral and start that is if the vehicle is an automatic.

Sounds like it could be the solder on the RCM or the Crankshaft positioning Sensor. Are you on Facebook? If so join us on the Crossfire Owners Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2211655775/ and also the forum at http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/search.php?searchid=2835128 We will be more than happy to help

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001COAS78/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza This is the correct crankshaft position sensor you want (a Bosch branded one). Many people buy other brands at places like AutoZone and find they fail in days or weeks. Don't waste time with the off-brand ones.

Just an FYI. We've had a few members in the Crossfire Group order from Amazon and got Chinese knock off "Bosch" CPS. Be careful.
