Yes. My Car does the same. Normal. I have the red factory anti theft and a blue light that flashes all the time car is off and locked.

never used to have this level of inconvenience, simply going to buy milk or a loaf of bread~what happened? I mean collectively have we slipped a tooth? Lost all sense of novelty?

you know David, nothing is more valuable than putting a signal out there that can be picked up from our orbiting satellites, whereby if your car ends up in bad hands will be immediately visible by arresting officers~...like think this is going to be more effective than a virtual dope-slap of barking dog...recall one that cuts the fuel and allows 20 seconds of run time...just enough to be visible and embarrassing~

better still drive an ugly undesirable car....hence my interest in soviet block vehicles~the most uninteresting, bet they drive like a covered wagon~

Not to mention closed loop recorders, that if an air bag deploys, there is a 45 second record in a indestructible box that shows speed, tachometer, gear, throttle, brake application, not just yes or no but how much brake pressure (or lack thereof) That's my car. Some have video front and rear that records 45 seconds in a continuous loop that will show a Peterbilt tagging you at 60mph while you are sitting at a red light. Or YOU drilling a Geo or Fiat with your 4,000lb Mercedes. All caught on video. Either way, Calif is "fault based" insurance, as opposed to some States with "no fault"

I have also heard that in newer cars, not made public, going back a few years that have disabling devices that cops can get a license plate and send a signal from a satellite that will shut off a car, and put a stop to the chases that happen everyday. Rumor~~ Gossip. Don't know the truth in this.

yeeeaaah all those things that both u just said r only problems if u have a reason to be running from the government...and the fact that those security systems that u have run off the same stupid frequencies as a keyless entry...cool the government can know where u r at all times, but it doesnt matter if ur not running from them, how do u people sleep at night
