Dead battery? Try jump starting it.

after you get it started and running, turn it off and check to see if your dash lights stay on. if they are on, look to see if the "P" for park is lit. If it is not, then the sensor in the shift lever has gone bad. It is a fix that can either be done by replacing the sensor itself or the entire gear shift. Should be from $100-$400 depending on which way you want to go. BTW, the sensor has red, blue and black wires and is pretty easy to install. I have a floor console still in the box. I bought it but just had a friend to put the sensor in for me. If you want it contact me at donrabb@hotmail.com. I will let it go for $275.00. It was for my 2011 Lariet.
