2011 F150 Harley Davidson / Starts when you push down on Fuse Box

Asked by Lgkat63 Jul 18, 2015 at 03:31 PM about the 2011 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my truck was fine, then one day it cranked but didn't start. Mechanics checked
everything ruled out fuel pump. They got it to start but all they did was check the fuse
box then it started. A few days later it did the same thing, my dad held down the fuse box
while i turned it on and the truck started. Now it just cranks and doesn't start at all.

You definitely have a problem within the fuse box or a loose wire. Try removing the cover to the box then check to make sure the vehicle still does not start. Leave the key in the "on" position Remove each fuse, one at a time and use a multi meter to make sure twelve volts are present at each connection. If voltage is present at all then you will have to check for chafed wires exiting the box or corrosion at the contact points.
