Clicky sound

I have a 2011 Subaru Forester. I recently heard a click sound on my left front
side wheel. I paid 50.00 to get is checked and the mechanic gave me a list
of things. One being 2 lower control ons. I had those replaced. The sound is
still going, the front left wheel feels weird makes the same click sound and it
shakes when I go passed 60 on highway. This is all from one day to the next.
I am already 550.00 in the hole. It has 143,000 miles on it. I do my best to
take care of it. HELP DESPERATE!! Thinking maybe its the Ball joints??

Wheel bearings, CV joint or axle.
Could be a left BJ, but perhaps a bad reman CV axle. BUT we've seen solid front ends still click a bit when starting a left turn. It's a CVT/axle bearing interface noise that is best ignored, as replacing the CVT...even if used...will cost $1.5k min. Most "boppity-bop" sounds are from loose swaybar bushings or worn out end links. Cheap and easy fix. Good luck.
I've decided to search for a new mechanic. I did a lot of research and read some good reviews. I met with him this morning and he took it for a spin. Sure enough he says its the Axle. I didn't mentioned anything about what I was told from this forum. BC these cats can be a rip off and especially me being a woman. SUCKS can't trust no one. Anyway I have a good feeling about them. I am over the two mechanics I've been dealing with. IT's time to switch it up! Stay Tuned!
