1992 Cadillac Deville Issue: PLEASE HELP!!!

Asked by stpierre15 Mar 29, 2011 at 02:12 PM about the 1992 Cadillac DeVille Touring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1992 Cadillac Deville has been sitting all winter. I tried opening the doors the
other day and the key would not open the driver door, nor the passenger door. Is
this because the battery is dead? Is this because the lock system is still frozen
because the temps still haven't gotten past about 37 degrees yet and it still about
10 degrees at night. How can I get this thing open???? If it is a battery problem,
how can I open the hood without using the release on the inside of the car?

Make sure your using the rite KEY. Its not frozen. Has nothing to do with your battery being dead, Should still open.
