I have a 2011 ford ranger xlt and when I come to a stop a sec later there is a thump in the rear end. What could it be and should I have it looked at ASAP?

Hard to know without driving it. Rear backing plates? Bad shocks? Motor/Transmission Mount? Spider gears in the Differential? Could just be those crappy stock brakes shoes too.

It's only when you come to a complete stop no other times or problems. I use it as my mail truck and have about 400 stops and bout 80 miles gravel been driving it 2 mos now and just now started doing it
