not holding a charge. 1995 Cadillac deville

I was driving my Cadillac home from work
and my battery no charge light came on the
dash. and then like 20 minutes later it died. I
pulled over and try to start it again and
nothing no lights nothing so I got a jump off
and it started but died right when we took
the cables off. has a new battery and a new
alt. any subjection on what it might be

The charging system is not working, either there is a wiring problem or the alternator still is not working. And if there is something wrong with the battery, it would cause a problem. You would want to get the battery charged up to see if it takes a charge, and then have it checked out.
