how does the heater system work in a 1995 Cadillac DeVille

Asked by cadillacdreams Nov 27, 2013 at 12:27 AM about the 1995 Cadillac DeVille Sedan FWD

Question type: General

I just spent major bucks fixing my car.  One was the heater which didn't work at all.  Now,
I don't know if it works right.  It gets comfortable but, I expected to feel heat blow out of
the vents on my legs & out of the front vents.  Is it some kind of climate control system.
I'm thinking, what if your in snow country & you want some instant heat blowing out.
Please clue me in, dazed & confused.

Did you do the work yourself? or did you have a shop do the work? I f it was a shop bring it back and tell them it's not working right

assuming you have read the owners manual on auto setting, windshied defoster setting etc. Depends on your choice in the climate control panel as to how the system will distribute the heat. so if you are using the system in a setting and you selected a high enough temperature then it should be really toasty warm. PROBLEM WITH MY 1994 deville TURNED OUT TO BE A LOUSY "PLASTIC T" top and center near firewall under hood.
