Why is there no power at all to a 2011 Jetta 2.5 SEL (lights, horn, etc) after changing the battery? Before changign the battery, the only problem was failing to crank.

Got the answer from a dealer who successfully troubleshot the issue. The grounding cable was badly corroded, inhibiting a good connection. The problem is now fixed, and this solution might apply to some of the other sticky electrical issues on this list.
