96 Seville's moonroof does not work so well

Asked by Simon Jul 24, 2015 at 08:42 PM about the 1996 Cadillac Seville SLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 96' Seville moonroof does not work so well. I tried opening it and it opened after several
attempts of pushing the open button, but now it won't close. I manged to put it in vent after
several attempts of pushing the vent button. When I took a look at the moonroof I saw that
one of the guide rails had come off. Can anyone help me with this?

Oh man, I hate it when those holes in the roof act up- they are an engineering masterpiece/disaster and I hate workin' on them- unless you get lucky, expect an expert to spend hours getting it to work normally- best you can hope for is to get it closed somehow- then NEVER open it again-
