will it be ok on the suspension, tranny and motor if I pull a 1000lb trailer?

I have a scamp, which is a camper trailer which weighs 1000lbs.  I would like to
pull it with a cadillac eldorado.

I could not find 1996 ElDorado owners manual but the DeVille, Fleetwood, and Seville all show 1000 lbs max towing capacity So you will be fine if you don't load it up with 500 lbs of gear.
