Selling advise out of state

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I sold my car to a couple in driving from another state.  What is the process if
paying cash?  I have the title and they are going to want to take the car.  Please
advise.  Dave

I saw your post and figure you are needing an answer soon cause there driving in. I would make sure that your have a simple separate document stating they are buying the car "As IS" no additional warranties or conditions and make sure both parties sign it, also make sure title is signed stating mileage where it should be and your good to go.

You should do a notarized Bill of Sale. Call your bank and see if one of their staff is a Notary. If not, the UPS center had one On the Bill of Sale put down the Car's VIN Number, sales price, your name and address, and the buyer's name and address, and make sure it states "Sale AS-IS, no warranties or guaranties. Then at the bottom have a line where you fill in your name/address, and a line for the buyer to fill in his name/address, and then at the very bottom have a line for the Notary info, and seal. Make 2 Bill of Sale copies, one for you and one for the buyer. On the title, you just need to sign the line that says Seller. nothing else
