Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I keep having problems with my driver's side window motor in my '96 Sedan Deville. The first one went out 3 months ago, I bought a used one. The used one just went out last week, so I bought a new one, only to find out that there's something wrong and that new motor isn't working in place of old. In addition, my driver's side break lights go black when applied while head lights are on but fine while head lights are off. Is this a relay issue or do I have a short?
