Here's what you need to do. Measure the resistance value of the pellet on the original ignition key. Compare that to the chart below to determine which number VATS key blank you need. Once you have the correct key blank, use the ignition key that came with the replacement steering column to have the new key blanks cut. The security system will only allow the engine to start when the correct number VATS key is used. Hope that helps! Jim
