What type of antifreeze should i use in my car and why?

I was told that a special type of antifreeze should be used dexcool? I was wondering why and would regular green anti freeze hurt anything?

50/50 ethylene glycol/and de-ionized water mix~ matters not the color ~ just there so you con see rust~

Regular anti-freeze will cause rust to build up in these type of radiator's.

It says either Dex-cool or Drextron on the container. It is readily available. Prevents rust and clogging in the radiator.
