how much would it cost to replace head gasket on 97 cadillac deville or would it be more cost efficient to replace motor?

you can never go wrong with anew motor, if it's the one that belongs with the car, you can run into many different problems with a blown head gasket, coolant in your oil being one, why did it blow? overheat? if so the heads are aluminum and much like the HT4100 engine the aluminum heads will deform at a low melting point, I'm looking at my answer and realize it's not very helpful, If my newer caddy died I would look for a 77, 78, or 79 coupe deville, Now that's some help right there anyway good luck.
