That site among others says that engine has a timing chain. Good for 200,000 miles. NOT to be confused with serpentine belt, the belt you can see turning outside the engine. That belt is good for at least 60,000 miles or more

I've got a nissan versa s can't get the trunk open can u tell me what it might be the problem it don't have a trunk release I just have the remote that opens the doors but the trunk won't open can u give me some advice on how to get the trunk open

Does the button above the plate not work? If not power to the lock mechanism might have become detached.Did on my 2011 versa once..Easy to remove backseat,only 4 screws.Remove bech first than back of seat..Than there will be a little cardboard insulation that is easy to remove..zYou now have access to trunk to pop manually and see what the issue is.
