Engine RPM at highway speed

Asked by pfoote9050 May 14, 2011 at 05:57 PM about the 2011 Kia Rio Base

Question type: Car Customization

Bought 2011 Rio base model.  Runs at 3,000 Rpm at 60 mph.  What is best way to slow this engine down to get better gas mileage.   Any ideas?

My 2007 rio lx turns around 3K at 60 mph. Engine and transmission are designed the way they are. Larger wheels and tires might drop rpm but probably won't do much to save gas. GL OM
