Replaced alternator and battery and battery light still on

The battery light symbol lit up recently in
dashboard, I put in a new battery but it turned out
the alternator wasn’t charging the battery so I
replaced the alternator with a new one and I’m still
having the same problem. I’ve checked the fuses
and they appear to be fine ( haven’t checked the
relay fuses or the fusible links) before the battery
light came on the car was running fine but I bought
a new battery and i put in the connections wrong
because I was in a hurry, once I corrected the
problem the car wouldn’t start, I fried some fuses
but I replaced them. The car runs but it’s the battery
light that’s still on like I said I put in another battery
and alternator but same problem. Please help thank
