Can injector cleaner be safely used in fuel for ‘99 DeVille with North Star engine? I am getting opposite info from 2 Cadillac dealerships.

My 99 DeVille is starting hard when engine  or even ambient temperature is
warm.  Have push accelerator to floor before it will start.  One Cadillac dealer
says to put Lucas or similar cleaner in the gas; a 2nd Cadillac dealer says
cleaner fluids will fuin the North Star engine.  Anyone have experience with
cleaner fluids in a North Star engine?  Could this problem be the starter or
thermometer?  It’s the only car I have & can’t afford another; help!!

check your fuel pump for power , your oil pressure switch is back up power supply to fuel pump and its low voltage so see if you have 12 volts at fuel pump

Oh if you can get your hands on BG 44k you will love it use it in my 94 Northstar. Used to work in the dealerships in Ohio Pennsylvania California and I had it in all of my shop it's the best added to your fuel tank and go. Good luck

change the fuel pump car should always start first turn of the key 2) obd ll scan for trouble codes 3) change spark plugs / coil packs : note : some trouble codes trigger other codes
